Fresh Fruit Pie in 9 Minutes

INGREDIENTS:

1 (9") graham cracker crust
1 cup white sugar
5 tbls of cornstarch
1/8 tsp of salt
1 1/2 cups of cold water
1 apple, cored and diced with peel
1 banana, diced
1 (15 oz) canned pineapple tidbits, drained
1/4 cup of chopped pecans
1/2 tsp 0f red food coloring
1/2 tsp of fruit preserver
1 1/2 cups non-dairy whipped cream topping

DIRECTIONS:

In a medium saucepan, combine together sugar, cornstarch and salt. Pour the water into the cornstarch mixture and stir together over medium heat until it starts to boil. Continue stirring for about one minute; once the mixture become thick and clear in color. Remove it from the heat and set aside to let it cool.

Mix together the diced apple, banana, pineapple together with the chopped pecans in a medium size mixing bowl. Combine all the diced fruits with the cooked mixture, next add in the food coloring and fruit preserver; finally pour the final mixture into the graham cracker crust.

Cover and refrigerate it for approximately an hour. And serve it with a generous topping of whipped cream. To spice up the presentation, you can garnish it with chopped pecans sprinkle on the topping.

Banana Caramel Pie Recipe

INGREDIENTS FOR THE PIE

1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
3 bananas
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
2 (1.4 ounce) bars English toffee-flavored candy, crushed

BAKING DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Fill a large saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Pour sweetened condensed milk into a small baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil. Set dish in a larger baking pan. Place pan on oven rack and pour boiling water into larger pan, to at least 1 inch deep. Carefully slide rack back into oven. Bake 1 hour, until milk is thick and caramelized.
Slice bananas and arrange on bottom of graham cracker crust. Pour caramelized milk over bananas and allow to cool 30 minutes.


In a medium bowl, whip cream until soft peaks form. Add confectioners' sugar and continue to whip until stiff. Spread over cooled caramel. Sprinkle with crushed toffee. Chill 3 hours before serving.

Banana Meringue Pie Recipe

Banana Meringue Pie Recipe
This meringue pie recipes is a favorite to our family. The sweetness of the bananas really makes a great dessert in the summer.

INGREDIENTS FOR PIE
1 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 tbls Granulated Sugar
6 tbls Cold Unsalted Butter, diced
1 Egg, beaten
6 Ripe Bananas
1/2 cup Warm Light Cream
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
1 tbl Cornstarch
1 tsp Vanilla
4 Egg Whites, room temperature
1 pinch of Salt
1/3 cup Granulated Sugar


To Make Pastry:
Combine flour, sugar and butter in a food processor. Process until they reach the consistency of fine meal. Add beaten egg and continue to process just until dough starts to come together.

Gather into a ball, wrap and refrigerate for one hour or place in freezer for 15 minutes to chill.

Roll out dough on a floured surface or roll out between two sheets of plastic wrap to an 11-inch circle. Dough is sticky and falls apart easily; just patch together and fit into a nine-inch flan pan with removable bottom; trim edges. (If you don't have a flan pan, a pie plate can be used.) Chill for 30 minutes.

Bake pastry at 375 degrees for 12 minutes until light golden in color. Thinly slice five of the bananas and arrange on bottom of pastry shell. Mash the remaining banana and combine with warm cream, 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch and vanilla. Pour over banana layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes or until filling is set. Let pie cool slightly.


To Make Meringue:
Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in 1/3 cup sugar until meringue is stiff and glossy. Spread meringue over warm pie; bake at 350 degrees for 12 - 15 minutes or until browned.

Let cool; refrigerate until serving time.


Make to serves 6.

Banana Pie Recipe

Banana Pie Recipe
This simple pie recipe will make a great dessert for everyone, give it a try.

6 cups Sliced bananas
3/4 cup Pineapple juice
Pastry for 2 crust pie
3/4 cup Sugar
1 tbl Flour
1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tbl Butter or margarine

Soak bananas in pineapple juice for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a 9 inch pie plate with pastry. Drain bananas, saving 3 tablespoons of the juice. Place bananas in pie shell. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon; sprinkle over bananas. Sprinkle with the 3 tablespoons of
pineapple juice. Dot with butter, cover with top crust. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until crust is browned.



Makes for 8 servings.
